City of Cedar Hill Building Permit Process

The following steps are required to obtain a one-or-two family building Permit from the City of Cedar Hill.  All post-frame construction dwellings need to have an engineer design and stamped.

1.    Obtain, complete, and submit building application to the City of Cedar Hill; As state law TCA 62-6-103 and Rule 0680-1-.22 allows. A number will be assigned.

2.    Pay permit Fees as shown on Exhibit B

3.    Submit State approved sewer septic authorization certificate

4.    Obtain City of Cedar Hill Driveway Permit ($500)

5.    Submit Robertson County adequate facility tax receipt

6.    Submit new address verification form

7.    Contact building inspector Rob Jones when ready for first inspection (footing)

8.    Foundation inspection will be conducted, with associated building application number.

9.    Framing inspection will be conducted, with associated building application number.

10. Rough-in Plumbing and Mechanical inspections will be inspected with associated building application number.

11. The building final inspection will not be conducted until after issuance of all permits.

12. The Certificate of Occupancy will be issued after all approved final inspections.
